Ceramic insulated Band Heaters are capable of generating higher temperatures than Mica Band Heaters. Band Ceramic Heaters from TEN24 are the ideal solution for high watt densities and high operating temperature applications, especially for the plastics industry.
Such heaters are used on molds, granulators, extruders.

Ceramic Band Heaters are produced by picking up a heating tape from ceramic elements of a certain size. A resistive heating element (nickel-chrome) is placed inside the special holes of the ceramic blocks. Outside, the heater is fixed in a sheet steel housing, which gives the heater a fixed shape and protects fragile ceramic parts from mechanical impact. If necessary, a steel tie can be placed inside, so that the outer shell of the heating element will heat up.
