Tubular infrared emitters

Tubular infrared heaters: halogen, quartz, carbon

Halogen, carbon, and quartz tubular heaters are different types of infrared lamps consisting of quartz tubes and heating coils placed inside them, created using different technologies.

The coil in tubular IR lamps can be made of high-resistance nichrome wire or carbon fiber. Quartz tubes made of transparent quartz glass can come in various shapes, lengths, and diameters. In halogen lamps, the quartz tube is filled with a halogen.

Differences between quartz, carbon, and halogen heaters

The working principle of infrared lamps for end-users is almost the same. The main difference is the materials used to manufacture them. Different materials and coil winding density lead to differences in IR lamp characteristics.

Wavelength. Infrared tungsten halogen heaters work in the shortwave range. Quartz and carbon heaters work in the medium wave infrared range.

Heating time. The time interval from turning on to reaching maximum intensity varies from 1 second to a couple of minutes.

Moisture resistance. Some types of IR heaters are not only resistant to excessive humidity but also to accidental water or other liquid contact with the heating element.

Radiation intensity. Different heaters at the same power can have different heating temperatures.

Buy tubular infrared heaters from the manufacturer

At TEN 24, you can order different types of IR tubular lamps: halogen, carbon, or quartz tubes with nichrome coils. We also have ceramic heaters and standard-sized quartz panels. All our heaters can be purchased from the list of standard models or ordered to manufacture the required IR heating element to order with individual characteristics.
