Cast-in Band Heating elements are made up of electrical resistances embedded inside a block of metal such as aluminum, brass or bronze, which provides outstanding thermal conductivity. These heating elements are ideal for applications that need evenly distributed indirect heat. They are widely utilized in industries such as plastics, packaging, food, and others.

Our Cast-In Band Heaters come with two cooling options: with tubes for liquid cooling, or with fins for air cooling.

  • Heater temperature: up to 350°C

  • Power density: up to 4 W/cm²

Cast-In Heaters are specialized thermal components used in a wide range of industries, including plastics processing, food warming, and semiconductor manufacturing. TEN24 heaters can be made from aluminum or brass alloys and are highly customizable to meet specific needs. They are commonly found in equipment used for beverage production, film blowing, food warming, laminating, packaging, plastic extrusion, wafer processing, and more.

Our Cast-In Band Heaters are typically made of aluminum alloys for their excellent thermal conductivity. For applications with higher temperatures and watt density, bronze or brass alloys can be used. The heaters are designed to be either liquid-cooled or air-cooled, with the cooling method playing a crucial role in keeping the temperature of the barrel stable, especially during plastics extrusion processes. The inside diameter of the heater is precisely machined to ensure maximum heat transfer to the machine barrel and can be customized to meet specific customer requirements.

Design

The Cast-In Heater has a tubular heating element as its source of heat. The element is made up of a nickel-chromium resistance wire coil that is carefully positioned in the center of a metal sheath and surrounded by magnesium oxide powder (MgO). The filled tube is then compacted through a roll-reduction process, solidifying the coil's placement in the center and enhancing heat transfer and electrical insulation between the coil and the sheath.

Production of heaters in TEN24

Our  company TEN 24 produces individual Cast-In Band Heaters, so we can make for you an ideal heating element taking into account all the design features of the heated surface. Mica-band heaters can be made with cutouts, with some kinds of fasteners and ties.

Delivery

Cast-In Band Aluminum Heaters can be delivered from Odessa (Ukraine) to European countries: Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Slovakia, France, Poland, Moldova, and others.
