The Band Heater with air vented cooling jacket is used for precise temperature control of the heating element in industrial processes that require rapid heating and cooling. Mainly used in extrusion equipment.
The cooling system for band heaters consists of a stainless steel outer shell, sheet metal cooling elements acting as a heatsink, and a fan that creates forced airflow and rapid cooling of the heating element.

Design and Construction
Our air-cooled band heaters consist of a stainless steel outer shell, sheet metal cooling elements that act as a heatsink, and a fan that generates forced airflow for rapid cooling of the heating element. The cooling system design remains the same for both ceramic and micanite annular heating elements.
Temperature Range
Our clamp heaters come with either ceramic or micanite insulation, depending on the required temperature range. Ceramic annular heaters can operate at a maximum temperature of 500°C, while micanite annular heating elements can reach a maximum temperature of 350°C.
